Dunno why but watching KR again made me think of other lame shows, that were on at the time of the original, best ever being Automan. Wish my car cornered like that ;)

Made me laugh so hard watching this. Now to find some old episodes of KR for some more laughs.
Current - 83 Levin AE85 Notch.
Ex - 89 Sprinter - Red Top, 88 Levin - 4agze.

You young'uns just don't know of a good TV program when one slaps you in the face.

Hardcastle and McCormick (don't bother watching the second and third series, they swapped out the McLaren for a hacked DeLorean)

Stingray (65 in black, still one of the sexiest cars around! )

Or how about the bike version of KR, Street Hawk

The answer is Helmholtz!

I do! (just!)

I seem to remember having a toy car that was a vague lookalike for the Automanmobile, so that's what it became, naturally...

It is indeed, the way I remember it Automan and his sidekick Cursor are effectively the result of some science experiment or something which resulted in a half computer concept/human thing (a bit like Tron) and Cursor having 3D existance - cursor could "draw" things which became real and Automan could use them as a weapon/vehicle/whatever. Naturally the car became something Lamborghini Countach looking or even more cheesy 80s angle styled, and could only do digital style movements so no acceleration - it was either stopped or going fast and would turn 90deg angles haha
