nice choice of words because i truly wonder is this generation more immature and egocentric? i don't know enough about previous generations to make an educated comment

I started out with a v8 valiant.

Fact is cars are more available (cheaper) for young ones. They no longer have to borrow cars, they buy their own. More of them on the road.

Theres an S15 down the road from us that has something like a 10" from the turbo back... Might need a few cans of expanding foam!
Jokes aside, its friggen annoying! A car which lets you hear the tone of the engine is nice, but obscurely loud is just a racket.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Loud exhausts CAN be a pain, willful damage however is a crime its not a solution to the problem

my 97 turbo mr2 got foamed by this phantom expander last monday!!!! i just couldn't believe it, but thought it was a random act of vandalism till news article came out end of last week. It happened while i was at work just around the corner, i lodged police complaint at the time, i was the first that the police knew about.
I'm still furious over this, and i do hope he gets what he deserves,
It has cost me a fair bit to get my exhaust taken off and burnt and cleaned out, lucky he only got one of my exhausts, and my car is not even loud. hmmmm

just read this on evolve car club/group

thought some of you's may want a read and voice your opinons

i have recently been informed by numerous people what the exact plan is for 4 n rotors night.....

I strongly suggest that if you want to stay out of harms way then i would divert town completly.

The plan is to block off EVERY lane of EVERY ave so there is no way in or out to ANYONE and that they will NOT move or back down to the cops!

These idiots are going to end up killing someone inocent or even a cop the way they are going to behave so im just putting it out there to all the Evolve girls and guys who actually value their cars and safety and i hope that you guys will keep safe and make the right decision on the night cos its gona get nasty..... no doubt about it Sad

I am going to make a phone call to the Chch Traffic Minister whom i used to have regular meetings with when i was associated with BRU back in the day when it was trying to HELP not cause S**t and inform him of the bebo sites like BRU and The Aves etc so he can see things for himself and i will be telling him all i know of the plans in the hope that they can try and push something through legally to avoid it happening on the night. Sorry if this will inconvenience anyones "good night" but i am worried about innocent public and polices safety. I feel sooooo sorry for the cops.... they are acting the way they are due to all they have had to put up with lately and quite frankly i will do ANYTHING i can to help the police out.

But just thought i would warn you all of how its going to go down so you dont get stuck in the middle with no way of getting out.

i reckon itll be a whole lotta talk and bugger all action to be honest. its good that someone is willing to keep the authorities informed anyway.

people need to learn, you'll never win any sort of standdown with the police. although it would make great entertainment

LOL at them catching a 17yo for last week. what sort of area is wigram ( where hes from)?

Wigram is fine, quite a lot of new housing and some industrial areas (where they were)

I hope they do a massive blitz TBH, smart people won't be out anyway so they can net some trouble makers.

Its got a mix really, some like that, but the newish builds aren't 'catalogue' ones  . Has some housing, industry/comercial / airfield  .

I think the main reason for them being there though is for the main road which is loooooong.
