well i was wondering today what my celica is worth.

Its a 1989 Toyota Celica GTR 4WS (ST183) Manual in red (good condition for age and hasnt gone pink) and has all the usual extras that celicas have. Only problem is cracked centre console and it need a new cam gasket. It has WOF and Reg.
There is one in oamaru like mine but automatic and low milaege for $4500, i thought that was quite high. The is also some celicas in dealers going for $5000.

How much do you think its worth?

With 206kms I'd say not much. A mate of my sisters had a matt black one with 160km, 17s, sub etc, he paid $1500 for it, ran a bearing so I replaced the motor, sold not long after for $1100. Yours is a lot tidier.. but with those high kms.. I'd ask $2000-$2200, but realistically you'd be lucky to get $1500 in the current market.

You can pick up average to tidy GT4s for around $4k, so i doubt anyone would pay that for a GTR.

Id say value would be $1500-$2000, maybe a little more? The car market isnt exactly booming at the moment!

I'd agree with the guess value of around $2000. It is truly a bastard of a time to be selling a car. Being 1980's and over 200k on the clock is a pair of serious mental stumbling points for the average buyer.

Personally I know those things just make a car more awesome, but the average punter isn't so enlightened

yea i saw them,ones got no reg or wof and ones paintwork is faded.
I thought mine would go for a bit more since its got good paintwork and rego and wof. But like you say, due to the milaege and the way the market is, aint worth much

Yea this is my 1st car, dont really want to sell it, i just wanted to know what id get for it. Might be interested in swaps tho, lol
