In the engine bay, stick a wire between te1 and e1 on the diagnostic port next to the afm, turn the ignition on to 'acc', the engine light will flash the corresponding code. It will either constantly flash if no codes, or go say, flash.. pause.. flash flash flash flash flash longer pause.. then repeat, this would be code 15.
Using oil.. if it isn't leaking it, then its' burning it, so its' rings or valve stem seals or whatever, get a compression test done and compare against factory specs to determine engine condition. If thats' okay, then it may be valve stem seals.
