Glanza, Corolla or Echo?

Postby tiny2009 » Sat Mar 07, 2009 4:32 pm

Looking to get the Mrs a new car, pretty much her requirements are that it has to be auto and prefers that its a hatchback... I could do with some advice or recommendations.

Been looking around and I am a little torn, option one is a Glanza V but I don't really know too much about these (apart from they seem to be a decent chicks car), option 2 is a corolla but I would prefer something with a 4age (auto fxgt?) and last is the little echo - these got my attention recently while on TM simply due to the fact they are reasonably priced for an 99/00.

Budget is up to around $8k

you can easily pick up an auto glanza v with low km for under 8k
good little cars, not allot that goes wrong with them either. solid engines and go for ever if well manitained/serviced.
i have driven a few and they dont go too bad for a 1.3 auto either. the turbo undoutibly helps thou. good fuel mileage as well.
daily: ep71 turbo s 2et 90hp atw 15.5sec 0-400m (stock) current 5efhte + ct9b on 6psi, 13.7@158km , torque steer??
nothing sounds like a 2stroke engine on the rev limiter

Can get a pretty tidy examples of all those cars. My pick would be the Glanza V as the 4E-FTE motor has a good reputation for longevity.
This is still for sale i think if you dont mind manual, really cool car
