Hiya,

After a bit of advice if I may.

Looking to sell the Gen2 3sgte & Tranny out of my Gen1 SW20.

I took the engine out because i thought it was smoking, but it turned out that my turbo had a small exhaust side oil leak. Engine dyno'd 145kw at torque performance on 12psi with a K&N pod - although i have no idea where the plot is now.

The gear box is pretty knackered, syncros are not in a good way but they have not gotten any worse in the 30,000k's i have driven it. If you change quickly or at high revs it will grind into 2nd & 3rd, but if you gearshift gently and get the revs pretty close it is fine.

Has a loom, ecu, exhaust manifold, afm, and all the other bits. Engine has done just under 170,000kms

Could anyone advise what they think it is worth? Apreciate any opinions.

I have looked on trademe but I am keen for some advice on here.

Probably about $500 or thereabouts for the engine alone. Not sure what the gearbox is worth

I could be extremely keen on buying this engine from you if you are willing to wait a few weeks for me to get some cash together.

Wont be selling for a few weeks anyway (gotta figure out where all the hoses go on my gen3 first) :lol:

Need pics of the plugs around the ecu... i have too many plugs and not enough holes!!!

I don't think the box will be worth much unless it's an LSD box, the engine with loom and ECU without turbo should fetch you $750 if it's in working condition, GL

damn have 3S's gone up in price? I paid $500/$400 respectively for my last two and they came complete with less km's on them

just picked a 3sgte short block for 3 dozen good beers, but yeah they should be around the 400-500 mark. my first one was 500 with everything needed to run. well they are downs these ways,
