Dumped Altezza Auckland?

Postby Kittah » Tue Mar 17, 2009 12:44 pm

I assume someone may have done something about it as regards police, but there's a silver Toyota Altezza, registration ESP197 sitting on its brakes atop some overturned steelies on Kitchener Street at the bottom of Albert Park in downtown Auckland.[/list]

Yeah I was surprised at that. I'd have thought they'd be more along the lines of say 15-1600ish?

Gross vehicle mass is the maximum weight of the vehicle allowed when fully laden.

It's not inaccurate when you think about it...

ok, apparently my old AU falcon, which I'd say was a lot heavier than any altezza, is 1560kg gross according to carjam. Not to mention you'd fit a hell of a lot more in the back of the 'coon than in an altezza if the measurement is fully laden.

I'd say the weights on that site are to be taken with a grain of salt.

indeed. my altezza wagon shows as 1680kg on carjam. probably a bit more accurate than the sedan weighing in at 1850...

besides, isnt there that website http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/ that u can see the specs of most jappas? (excl most 2003+ cars)

I saw the said Altezza today too, it was on a slope, at least the thieves gone in to the effort of putting the car on steelies instead of just putting the car on the pavement.

Amazing job tho coz it's a busy street and it's actually on a slope.

Wonder if the Altezza was rolling on some chromies au or some JDM Work wheels.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

I doubt that comes as a consolidation to the cars rightful owner :P

Might be a consolation though?

Though if it were me although I'd be pissed, I'd be a bit relieved it wasnt just dumped on the side of the road on its brakes.
