Hamilton 400 seating

Postby Dragger_Dan » Sun Mar 29, 2009 5:47 pm

I'm thinking about getting some tickets for the Hamilton 500. To anybody who went last year: is there any particular grandstand or admission area you'd recommend over the others?

You'd like to think so. Seating last year was absolutely shit.

walked past the grandstand seating yesterday, looks differnt. Hard to tell from the ground but it looked steeper and back further and not as much seating. In front they got 2 rows of sheltered sponsored area, last year i think there was only one
above this is a line

All of our best screens are being installed along pit straight and at turn 1, Most of the seating is there so if you end up there you should have a decent view of at least one screen and also the between race burnouts, bikes etc.

Not much in the way of interesting racing actually happens along there, but its definitely one of the areas where they've concentrated on crowd entertainment.

If you can, try to get a pass for the pit villas or one of the stands on the inside of the track, because if you get bored of the racing you're closer to the pits and other interesting sites.

If I had to pick, the founders stand on holden hairpin is where I would be, heavy braking and a tight corner should make for some good action again this year, plus you get a great view of the screen that will be in the corner of Seddon Park.
