4wd Carib and Corolla Feedback

hey guys/gals

Thinking of getting one of the above as a bit of a run round car but would also be using it to put the yak on the roof and down to the beach or possibly may tow a small boat if needed (only small - the Ford Territory is for the big boat).

Just after peoples opinions on these, reliability, general performance etc.


I am interested in something reasonably newish, 1996 or newer and 4wd 1600/1800 should do it. I understand the manual versions can be abit hard to find so auto is no real issue.

We had a 4wd corolla sedan as a service loan car a few years back.. it was pretty gutless. Seemed to holdup to whatever had be thrown at it

Oh yeah, should have said, I'm keen on the wagons only not sedans

other than the usual making sure its hasnt been abused and neglected theres no real issues with them.
