1988 Corona just dying

Postby Audi » Tue Apr 21, 2009 8:02 pm

My mates ST170 Corona just died yesterday. Is there a way of rigging the diagnostics port so the engine check light will flash out what is wrong? I know you could do this on my old ST185 so hoping we could do the same here.

From memory of briefly seeing the engine in the dark the other day I don't think it was carby. It has a diagnostics port in the engine bay.

if it has a diagnostics plug, i would assume you would just bridge e1 and te1? and count the flashes on the CEL?
