sequential gearbox

Postby ke25sr » Thu Apr 23, 2009 10:01 am

My boss ahs a KP60 bugeye race car, he runs a 3SGEU with carbs. But after watching me play around with may engine he has decided he needs to go faster, So new engine new chasis new suspension package new brakes,

But He wants a sequential gearbox set up, I dont think we will find any thing to suit the t50 that he runs with now,

Can any one push us in the right direction?

A guy in ss2000 runs a sequential gearbox behind his 4age.its the bell housing you need to suit, about $10,000 plus,I was looking for fwd but they are about $20,000. Have a look at Quaifes website for an idea

Perhaps have a hunt around for Ikeya (?) Formula sequential shifters, they may make one to suit a T50. Basically just converts the H pattern to forward and back.

Keep in mind tho that its the synchros that limit the shift speed, not the shift pattern, so if hes after motorcycle style flat shifts, he'll need a dog box :D
