I would think most do, doesn't mean there is anything wrong with a FWD. When you are spending under $4k I'd go so far as to say beggers can't be choosers.

turbo does not equal awesome.

yeah gtsts are decent cars, calling them barely acceptable was a bit of an exaggeration. they are incredibly unresponsive off boost, which for a standard car takes ages to build imho as well. but defintely the only R32 i would own is a turbo one.

and without quite a bit of work, the rb20det is still pretty slow.

The car is fairly a whale too isn't it ?

my gtst was 9/10ths standard when i got it, just exhaust and filter. still had stock wheels, suspension etc etc. was horrific to drive

i got some wider wheels for it, and some bilsteins. made a world of difference, was reasonably puntable as long as you were willing to work the gearbox and keep it boosting.

the HICAS is really annoying, but easily disabled (i never got round to it) - just as you are starting to scare yourself, along comes mr HICAS and REALLY shakes your tree, hah! i reckon with a few more ponies and 6 good coil packs (haha) it would be a good car, all depends on your definition of quick i guess! apparently 13s are easily achieved with few bolt ons and nasty launches.

^^^man you sound like a tool ay lol

im a RWD person through and through, 100% iv owned FWD but only as dailys as got sick of adjustables etc in my rwd cars but to be honest the best bang for buck road car car iv ever owned was a '93 1.9 turbo diesel peugeot 405 shit it was awesome cost me $100 (not going) i bled the fuel thriough and it was mint pretty peppy and a handbrake to die for.

it def sounds like you are jumping on the hate honda bandwagon as you too narrowminded to think for yourself and conjure up your own opinion.

For $4000 you arent going to get a cool RWD car end of story, and no a auto R32 gtst isnt cool at all.... whereas you can get a simi cool FWD car.

pretty simple really

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 755218.htm This was 4k

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 558707.htm probably about 3k

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 424396.htm $4500

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 035360.htm 4k.

nuff said.

Also, I can guarantee you, any dislike for Hondas, is my 100% genuine opinion, thanks.

Like I said, I don’t mind the ITR's the s2000 and the nsx.

I think half of the people on hear are control freaks, im entitled to my own opinion and shouldn’t be shot down for it.

It’s not like im raving Hondas are gay etc etc,

There just not my thing, neither are fwd's.

i do also own, probably one of the coolest fwd especially one that you could have for under 5k.

I can't help but think its just because the 205 or golf are rare here. Don't you think that in Europe they might think that those cars are boring and common and that a uncommon japanese 16v hot hatch corolla would be more interesting to them?

Just a thought.

+1 , in Europe Corolla is way cooler than golf, and they didn't get the levins/truenos and no 20v..

As for 205 or Golf being hot, I am not so sure, most golfs/20 are some 8v 80hp POS. Oh and they fall apart, awful interior, plastic parts where metal should be, low quality with electrical problems that are more expensive to fix than the price of such POS.

you are way too obsessed with being "cool" Please don't buy an MR2. It would be wasted on you. Buy another 20valve - it's right up your alley
