Lexus LF-A

Postby 2jayzgte » Sat May 30, 2009 8:29 am

I've just been reading alittle more into this car and Toyota have finally soughted the performance with this car apparently in the last year they have gone to and from the wind tunnel and the Nurburgring continually tweaking the performance and have finally found it.This has been one of the reasons why I think they have taken so long to release the car as before 2009 the cars top speed was only 200 mph and they wanted more but I say good on Toyota they didn't cave they took there time and only released it when they were ready.

They have tweaked a road/race going LF-A to a time of 7.13 seconds around the Ring and have promised in acess of 218 MPH top speed now this puts it up there right there with the Ferrari Enzo and Pagani Zonda type top speeds and from what I have seen appareently its not going to be a 5.0 litre V-10 but a 4.8 litre V8 and the promising 550 plus BHP with a release date of late 2009

So we've got 2 high performance Lexus out there. The IS-F and the LF-A.

Wheres our new high performance Toyotas? :(
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

If I were in market for a super car, I would still buy 997 Turbo. It is far better package over all.

To me its one of the better looking supercars out there.I've always been a fan of it I had a friend who went to the 07 Tokyo auto show and everyone was talking about the new GTR until they rolled this bad boy out and apparently it was jaw dropping gorgeous in the flesh and wass the talk of the show.

Also they are rolling out upgrade options for the LF-A aswell what they might be who know's.The IS-F is also getting the track treatment aswell the new model is called the IS-R about 100 plus kilos lighter and a 20 Kw upgrade to that 311 KW so some interesting times on the Lexus front.

I think you may have this bit wrong, from what I've read, there is defenitly going to be a 4.8L V10.

Defenitly the best looking car I have seen in a very long time, and If it's anywhere near as reliable as the supra then ya can't lose! I'm going to try to get a used one in about 10 years or something when they're a lot cheaper

i dono about the looks from each angle it looks like a different car... the rear is fully audi R8, side on is a mesh between bugatti veron aston DB9 and JZA80 (front to back). the front is just plain ugly....

Pretty sure this concept has been round longer than the R8?
