ST185 CT26 witout CT26 stamped on it?

Postby BR0Z » Thu Jun 04, 2009 1:32 pm

Hi all

Have recently noticed on our white RC the turbo is different to the one in my Red beast it just has 'Toyota' stamped on it & not 'Toyota CT26'

Did the CT26's come out like that or is it possibly oa CT20b

Cheers,
Mark

The CT20b's don't have anything stamped on them, just Toyota, like this:

From memory, the CT26's do all have CT26 stamped on them like this:

Hmmm if that is the case - might have somthing else to transfer over from the 'White' car to the 'Red'

They look pretty similar, but I notice that on the CT26, you can see like a bit on the left that isn't present on the CT20b. Is that difference there with your ones? :)

Do you mean that knob bit (possibly there for a bolt thread if needed)

not sure - will have to check

Not all CT26's have CT26 stamped on them. Best way to tell is to count the downpipe studs on the exhaust housing.

6 studs = CT26
7 studs = CT20b

(number of studs is just off the top of my head....I don't remember the exact number but I know the ct20b has one more stud than the ct26)

RC's don't have the ceramic wheeled CT26 so that's probably where the difference is between your two turbos
