ST18X Active Sports Suspension

Postby celica_xr9145 » Wed May 27, 2009 1:01 am

I was behind a red toyota celica st18x and said active sports on the back.

What is active sports and is it better that TEMS Sport Suspension i got in my celica?

I think its a ST184 but i read somewhere that someone had a st182 with active sports:?

Could be just the model name, like GT-R etc.

Yes probably TEMS.

And the 4WS is ST183, for the record, ST182 is the same minus the 4WS...

The active sports model had a real time hydraulic suspension system that adapted the shocks depending on the road surface etc. Similar to the Soarer system I think, may not have used coil springs.

Surprised any still run...

4ws = 4 wheel steer

Tems is from memory just Toyota electronic modulated suspention, nothing flash. Most cars of that age have replaced the shocks anyway, no longer have it working.

Makes little/no difference.

Im bord, whats to drink?
