4AGZE Aircon Removal

Postby Simon86 » Mon Jun 08, 2009 9:49 am

If the aircon is removed (between power steer and alternator) is there still ability to tighten the alternator belt, or does a new bracket have to be made up? Car is RWD.

So are you wanting to keep the power steering? Depending which vehicle its going into will make a difference as with my AE85 if I used the factory bracket it mounts the alternator too low down and clashes with the cross member, Iam using a alternator bracket from a 4AGZE MR2 but I dont have power steering.
