Im having trouble with the clutch on my toyota surf.

Are they easy enough to change, or can they be a bitch?

Gearbox removed successfully.
The clutch fork was split.
The springs in the clutch plate are loose, is this normal? there is still plenty of padding left on the plate

no, that may cause it to shudder, do you use it for towing much?

I'd go with the peace of mind of a new clutch kit myself, but each to their own....
