Really? Can Gen3 cams be used in the Gen2 head without changing the shim/bucket setup? That's really good info to know if so

Gen 3 uses a shim under bucket setup so to use Gen3 cams in a Gen 2 you need to convert to shim under bucket or go shimless altogether by using MR-S shimless buckets (good thing to have on the to-do list if you're after revs). You can't use Gen1 (ST165) cams in later heads - they are a different setup altogether (later cams have better specs anyway)
