- With the ignition off simultaneously press AUTO & RECIRC/FRESH buttons.
- Turn ignition on.
Post any codes you get here and I will check what they mean.

Hoolio sorry to hijack somewhat, but Fivebob is there any way to do something similar for a 97 Corolla BZ Touring wagon? Mine only blows full hot or full cold, nothing inbetween!

Sorry I don't know anything about them, but I wouldn't think so unless it has the same sort of control unit with LCD readout.
If it has a slider for temp control, and seperate push buttons for the airflow control, then I can't see any way it would be able to output error codes.

That was interesting.
After all the LCD digits and LEDs went out after pressing the Auto & Recirc buttons, it displayed the number 21,(flashing), it also indicated the font vent (with the arrow & little 'man' figure) on the display......
I then hit the recirc button (to try to make the system return to normal) however & it seemed to run off and do some kind of self test programme counting up and running through all the vent configurations while running the fan at various speeds...

Reset as in disconnect the battery.
fivebob wrote:Just checked and it does put out an error when there is no sunlight. That said however when I checked my car this morning to see that I had the instructions right, I didn't get a sunlight sensor error and it was an overcast day.
Like I said before I'm not even sure this is a fault. In other Toyotas I have owned bi-level air flow resulted in hot air at floor level and cold air out of the top vents.
