Just been looking at affordable fixes turbo wise for my mr2 and came across these set ups. Has anyone had any experience with these?
these are a few that caught my eye.

http://www.drivenperformance.co.nz/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=1380

or will I be better off just getting the ct20b rebuilt with steel wheel etc?
Dont have big bucks to spend on the car at the moment, just want best bang for buck without buying anything that wont last.

opinions?

if you have the room which you will assuming its an sw20, i'd go for a aftermarket turbo with an adapter plate, a brand like masterpower is not to badly priced and will definantly last (although i am biased with one myself :P ), plus they go plenty better then the ct20b if you get the right size.

you definantly can get a new turbo set up cheaper then those links if you talk to the right people

my whole setup including turbo and new manifold cost under 2k, pm me if you want the details)

OBX is pretty good quality stuff....That T67 kit they do is the same as Greddy's T67 kit for the MR2 too IIRC

I only have experience with the real Greddy TD06SH, damn fine turbo, cheap to rebuild (last time I did it for new seals and regrind shaft, only $250)
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

OBX/Greddy/Trust etc don't make the turbos. They just put their badge on it. The actual turbos are made by Mitsubishi. I've never heard of anyone having any trouble with the OBX T67 kit (or any OBX parts really) that they do for the 3SGTE. Sorry can't say I've ever looked at anything they make for any other cars so can't comment there - but they do have a good reputation on MR2/Celica circles.

Greddy/Trust have turbos manifactured on there behalf to there specifications by Mitsubishi

I belive that they may cast there own compressor housings thought.

HKS is the same deal but via Garret again cast there own hosuings

APEXI is the same deal but via IHI

Blitz same deal again but via KKK

Or you can buy a masterpower turbo.
Awesome turbos, big name in the drift scene, made in brasil, and good prices.

Master power turbos for one like what i'm running rated to 600hp is around $1200-1300.

Get a new turbo Sean

You can get a T3 manifold through Al, and a Masterpower turbo would be a good bet. All you need is a downpipe made and your set!

Oil feed/drain is a piece of piss to setup as well 8)

I have the T3/4 st215 kit. Been good for over a year now.

I must get round to hooking up the wastegate tho. Freebosting ftl :(
Can't comment on the quality of the w/g yet hah. The turbo does not have a place to attach the pressure line for the w/g, although it does have a blanked off nub which I will eventually get drilled out lol.

Why do you need to do that, just run a vacuum line from the intake manifold.

Can always get a barb welded onto your cooler piping if you didnt want to drill into the compressor housing.

Pre is ideal, but nothing wrong with post, the wastegate manufactures say not to hook it up to any vacuum source but I know of many people including my self who have done so with no issues.
