I must get round to hooking up the wastegate tho. Freebosting ftl
Can't comment on the quality of the w/g yet hah. The turbo does not have a place to attach the pressure line for the w/g, although it does have a blanked off nub which I will eventually get drilled out lol.
Why do you need to do that, just run a vacuum line from the intake manifold.

Im looking a running the same setup on my caldina 215gtt soon. Did you have to get a new computer or anything to run or did it all just bolt up and away you went? What about intercooler is it in the way?
Much difference power wise?

Post throttle?

its fine, if you think about it the w/g only opens when you are on the throttle anyway.

When I had wastegates plugged into the manifold (they would see vacuum and all) with electronic boost controller, they would open from vacuum, and I would get massive lag. But that only applies to EBC 2 port setup with external waste gates (where you have one line reference another from solenoid)
iOnic wrote:lol thirded. EBC's really complicate something that doesn't need complicating.........A good external wastegate + a good boost tap = rock solid boost control and simplicity.

as long as you using BRANDED (turbosmart, tial, GFB)

Thanks

as for the masterpower, well i can put you onto the last 6 customers( in a month and a half) ive hard to replace all the internals with good parts and they would have a different opinion for those that have posted

Thats very odd, Masterpower provide a 1 years warranty. And if anything goes wrong you go back to them and they will fix it.
Py7h0n wrote:Yeah I have nothing but good things to say about MasterPower turbos either. I am using their GT45 this season after my mates recommendation (he's run one of their T70's for 3 years without any issues).
Most people who have issues with MasterPower turbos don't put big enough drains or feeds on them and they die of oil starvation.
