Bigger cc injectos on N/A 4age BT

Postby kramer2202 » Sun Jul 19, 2009 9:11 pm

Hey just wandering if any one has put bigger cc injectors on a N/A black top and if it would be worth doing to a worked black top to help get more power?

moved to tech where it belongs!

it would only be beneficial if the current injectors are not up to the job, and you re-tuned the ECU to suit.

What is this definition of "worked"?

blacktop injectors are quite big as they are, i dont think you'll max them out unless your pushing some serious cf. how much power are you making/wanting to make?

how big are you planning of going? you would need some pretty serious head work done to warrant this.

should be higher then that, if they didnt do the job at that rpm then there not very good with stock settings. i'd say about after 9600rpm. my rev limit was set a 9500 and they still did there job ok.

LOL got proof?

Maybe you got a limited spec one as every other standard blacktop cuts at around the 7800 mark.

they cut when they hit the red on the dash, but then silvertop pushes 8500...
all comes down to how much air is passing through not only the rpm

Yes something in that region. If you go by the guage 8k, but certainly not 8.5k. I would have found that out by now if it was the case

Well on my old BZR it would hit around 8300 before it wouldn't rev any higher. Wouldn't have a clue as to how accurate the gauge is.

my brothers silvertop trueno reved out to 10000;) With the ignition in the trueno you can slowly turn the key around to off (from engine running) vey very slowly and it will turn off the eletrics and rev limiters but the engine will still run. You can hear it go past 7,8,9000rpm!!! its insane!

Not good for the engine clearly but the trueno is a piece of shit so gets a good thrashing!! As the engine were originally designed by Yamaha with moterbike essentials inmind i believe these things can rev out very far

Im sure someone will correct me if i am wrong...
