altezza beams 3sge timing marks?

right, now iv got the head back on. who knows the timing marks? cant find any info on the net nor hear, nor our work tech encyclopedias and toyota dont wanna help.

problem being that the cam wheels can rotate back and forward on the vvti hubs, so timing the cams up to the pistons is getting me now were as iv got 1/4 of a turn on each wheel to play with :?

so, pics? do u use the line or the dott lol

set no 1 up to tdc inlet cam no 1 lobe should face to the inlet exhaust no 1 should face towards exhaust then put exhaust cam controller in place it should have a little hole that lines up with the back of no 1 and no 2 cam bearing caps this is on exhaust do the same for inlet make sure harmonic balancer is still at tdc make sure the belt is tight to exhaust pully and do the same with inlet before you reset the tensioner

yems go to the other thread of yours and look at the front pic of the beams motor you will see the notches on the front section that holds the cams in place
also in that pic he has no 4 at tdc so not really a good pic but you get the idea
