supra hub interchangability

hey, just wondering if jza80 hubs are able to be fitted to a jza70? i have jza80 hubs, ls400 calipers, and can steal some jza80 rotors to test fit. anyone tried this or similar before?

No they don't, sell your LS400's.......cheap

No idea actually, but you'd be better off going for LS400 rotors, since the calipers are a bolt on affair

Hasn't your Dad upgraded yet, so you can steal his JZA80 brakes?

dad already has the big 4 pots on his, so no point in upgrading i can however steal his spare hubs if this idea pans out, and try it with his rotors (may as well go for the bigger ones, haha).

which bolt on affair are you refering to? ls400 setup onto a jza80 or jza70?regretably the caliper setup on an a70 is quite a bit different hence wondering if can swap the entire hub.

hunt also mentioned that the abs sensors may not work, so i'd loose my abs, which is something i'd rather not mess with too much, so may have to forget this idea and go back to adapters to suit.

The LS400 calipers bolt onto the JZA80 hubs, but might not clear the supra rotors, and making brackets to space them out 5-10mm would be kind of annoying.

If you've got the hubs hanging about, you could always bust out the measuring tape...but I'm guessing they don't otherwise everyone would be doing it.

py7hon mentioned that some have tried it in aus, but thows camber all up the $&#$%, needs custom arms to fix, so more fabrication that i was trying to cut down, lol. also hunt mentioned that would probably loose abs as sensors are different. so kinda throws whole thing into the "whatthefuckwasithinking" pile.

will probably just start looking back into getting adapters made to suit what i have already.

oh shut up you :p just cause you want a set! tell ya what, i'll take my car off the road again, get the templates made, dummy everything up, get them cut and milled, etc, you just pay for the milling and your materials

if thats what it'll take, haha. will mock off my ls400 rotor i have, but space caliper out to suit the larger diameter.

if you're keen for the machining, i'll sort the rest.
