Link map

Postby TRD_ZERO » Sat Aug 01, 2009 7:29 pm

I have a g3 link and it was bought second had from someone running a 4age 16v turbo. Im going to be running the g3 on my 20v turbo. Im wanting to know if that board that is currently in the link will suit my 20v or will i have to get it sent away to get a replacement board?

I also have a basemap for it and im wondering if there is anyone local that will be able to load the basemap onto the link for me it shouldnt take long at all im thinking?

G3's dont need sub board changes do they?

It should work straigh away if they used a GZE or smallport dist,

but otherwise will just need some numbers changed in the program.

no don't need a subboard change on the g3's, its all altered in PCLink. The only thing you'd need to send it back to link for is if you want to upgrade the map sensor to handle more boost.

you can load the map on yourself easily if you have a pc or laptop. i took my desktop out to the shed to get mine running the first time  just follow the instructions in the manual. ideally you'll go through and check all the settings before starting first time anyway, and you can alter any of it if you're running dizzy or anything like that...

Ive got a basemap so there should be no altering needed i just need to load it on. How much boost can the factory link map sensor take? I read in another thread it was 22psi i think. Im not wanting to run more than 20psi so i dont need to get a bigger map sensor installed right?
