vista/camry gear shift lock

Postby l3_vin » Sat Aug 01, 2009 3:09 pm

hey i have a 1992 vista/ camry auto. the gear shift lock does not disengage when i press foot brake. so i have to use the red button on the side. Also the head unit does not work. I have checked all the fuses in engine bay and ignition fuses on drivers side. Also had a quick look at wires to head unit and everything seems fine.

What could the problem be? it may be two separate problems?

Brake light switch or solenoid in the shifter at a guess.
