Has anyone had much experience with these LSDs?

They are a TORSEN type LSD, the one i have in my corolla has done 200k's and at the autocross in the weekend it seemed to be single spinning rather than working as an LSD. was picking up the inside rear wheel thru the tight hairpins and all the drive was going to that unloaded wheel. Do I hereby conclude that the LSD is poked???

i believe thats how torsens work
wheel in air = spin

being gears, they either work or they don't. and don't would usually mean crunchy noises

Yeah - torsens can act like open diffs if one wheel has absolutely no grip...
Air = no grip

Torsens act to transfer torque to the wheel with most grip.
They will transfer 3 to 5 times the torque being "absorbed" (can't think of a better word yet) by the wheel with the least grip. Depends on the worm gear tooth angle I think.
So for example left wheel can absorb 150nm of torque the diff will give the right wheel 450 to 750nm of torque.

I'm sure most manufacturers went to torsen diffs as they don't wear out like clutch diffs and they don't affect handling as much under power i.e. less power oversteer or power understeer.

Are the rear wheels getting air due to bumps or uneven surface? Would more droop help reduce any problem?

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

yeah i think the larger rear sway bar and not much suspension travel are the two main issues, have removed the rear sway bar altogther which should put the wheels back in contact with the ground.
