oxy sensor

is the oxygen sensor required if you run a after market ecu that has been tuned on the dyno???.....ecu is haltech e11v2...cheers

you dont have to but you wont have closed loop conmtrol of the fuel mixture. ok for a race car as your not worried about mileage but useful in a road car as the computer will use it for lean cruise adjustments

Most aftermarket ECUs don't support, or have very limited support for closed loop operation.

Even if it does support closed loop in most cases it's not worth running a wideband sensor because they have a very limited life (same applies to datalogging), and narrowband is only good around stoich, so it's only usefull around idle or very low load.
