FUEL CELL

Postby ke_25 » Wed Aug 05, 2009 10:14 pm

hey,

just in stages of getting a fuel cell built for my car, and was wondering for issues of surge, my question is do i still need to run a surge tank?

the tank will be approx 400x400x200-250ish high, and was thinking of filling it with RCI foam, well a layer on the bottom,

but is a surge tank still needed in this case for saftey? or will the foam stop the surge?

Cheers shaun

I filled my factory tank with foam, and for fuel surge its made sfa difference.

Technically the foam is to stop the fumes catching fire should things turn to custard (since the foam is where the 100% oxy is required).
