Clutch up grade

Postby jamuba » Mon Aug 03, 2009 1:54 pm

Hi all
I'm hoping you guys might be able to point me in the right direction-
I need to upgrade my clutch, I currently got a SJ Suzuki with toyota running gear, Hilux transmission and a gen2 3sge, The std clutch starts to slip after a dunking in the mud and slit. I'm after a hd clutch, I've got a 3sgte which I want to fit next season, will the pressure plate (gte) have a higher clamping force than the ge, and will it fit?

Cheers Chris :D

Hi Guys

I've done a bit of a measure and found that the gte flywheel will fit on the ge crank and miss the bell housing, I'll have to turn the ring gear around so the tapered edge on the teeth work for the rwd set up, the get fly wheel is 10mm thinner than the what i'm currently using but i had 3 slightly different release bearing carriers, the hilux one worked the best. Also the clutch plate has the same spline as the hilux gear box, so the jobs a goldie :D Chris
