Aluminum car mats – mesh or other. Where can I buy?

Postby Dopamean » Fri Aug 14, 2009 3:34 pm

I've seen them before in a FXGT in Performance Cars, stood out and I think they look just dam good.

But as to where I can get them from unknown???
Perhaps they were a custom job with four plates cut then glued to a mat,
Anyone have any idea where I can find some of these?
Something similar to these:

Looked long and hard a couple of times on TradeMe and the crap in Repco or I should say the poor selection leaves much to be desired.

I'm based in Auckland.
Cheers!

Only ones I've seen that aren't custom are those dodgy naff plastic ones that are supposed to look like tread plate.

PS. Real tread plate makes for shit car mats

Ah cr@p, I want to bling my mats man!

I have a thing for floor mats and new window wipers.....
I dunno why I just do.

I always replaced the car mats in a new car and wipers.
I love a wiper that clears your window in one swipe....

Everyone’s tastes are different.
This is not a discussion on if they are better or worse but just one of where to buy the dam things.

Some may think they look stupid, I want my footmat bling dam it!

Shazza will think there CHOICE!

Something else I wanted to do was extend the seat rails by a couple on inches - suggestions?

My fxgt came with aluminium ones in it. I didnt really like the look but they were easy to keep clean so I kept them. They did make me get black heels when driving bare feet tho haha.

I think the point he was making that they aren't a performance part. Not that they don't exist. Maybe anyways.
