diesel pump qns

Postby escortman » Tue Aug 18, 2009 12:16 am

ok so in my offroader (toyota blizzard) iv replaced the blown 2L-t with the older version of 2L a 2.2lt, it ran perfectly fine in the old doors rusted off hilux, it all pretty much plugged in and turns over like a champ except the diesel pump is only a 2wire, i thought no biggie, its just a solenoid il just run them directly to the + and - on batt, but it wont let the diesel through, the hand primer defiantly works and i can feel the diesel returning to the tank, i intend to remove it and check the wiring is still ok, will i be able to hear the solenoid clicking?

fuel cut solenoid make a very audible 'click'.
extra wire could be rev counter or an idle up (A/C)
