where to mount cross over?

Postby deaf_rattle » Tue Aug 04, 2009 4:54 pm

Is it better to have the cross overs for the component speakers closer to the amp, or closer to the drivers?

cheers

Wherever they fit best

Might want to make it easily accessable as well, just makes it easier to set up.
Cheers,

I would mount them a close to the drivers as possible, not for any technical reason, but simply because then you end up using less cable, that said, somewhere practical where you can get at them reasonably easily if you have to is a good idea.

what speakers? as some crossovers arnt ideal to put on the doors.
fusion lomus are quite weak around the joins, slamming doors shut can cause the parts to go loose
