^lower it 4" and I may reconsider

Reflexes were shit when they came out and they'll remain shit until the end of time, basically.

the only reason to go bigger than 14 is to fit over bigger brakes ;p

Old school toyotas are the new hondas and small ghey wheels the new JDM. Its attack of the f#cking clones every time you see an old car these days. 17"s ftw.

I think theres a difference between the 'clones' that roll on modgies / spitties / whatever compared to those that have rims you hardly ever see. Street fins (For Snoozin) for example. You don't need to go to 17s to be original. In saying that, how is going 17s any better than 14s going by your theory :P

Naaa, they are 14"s lol and I just said that cos everyone hates on you if you have 17"s on an old toyota so was trying to get a reaction .

I was mainly joking, but every AE86 in the entire world (lol exaggerating a little) has mesh/equips/longchamps/watanabes etc.

because they are mags from the era, that suit the car/s and are light and strong.

and 17s look shitbox on the likes of ae86 KE ANYTHING as do modgies spitties or tridents etc

yeah the reflexes ant the best.. been lowered since then... and they have grown on me over the years (and they came on the parts car)

but i dont like higher profile and hate the look of the small wheels with low profile, i prefer the guards nicely fulled... too bad its impossible to find old wheels in 15" that dont cost the earth... thats y iv got the supra mags

Funniest shit ever! Cant believe this topic is still going! I have wrecked that car and nearly one of those longchamps since then. Got a new ae70/te71 hybrid now and fixed the longchamps so SHE'S ALIVE! Oldschool JDM Ricey looking crap ftw!

pics laters. unfortunatly with the exact suspension setup in my new ae70 it sits like a whale? Im fu#king confused. Only difference is the strut tophats?

17's on a "old school car" look wrong normally because they cant lower the car enough and theres a huge amount of ground clearence and makes the car look silly if they can manage to lower it correctly on bigger rims i c no problem with that i use to hate small rims still dont like mogies but smaller rims are growing on me i own a ae111 and run 17's on that most ppl tell me i shud be runing 15's and after lookn at many with smaller rims id consider it now the rims you run on the car shud relate to the era shape you wouldnt go chuck 17 inch full face cromes on a ae86

17 inch old school wheels look sick , look to boyd coddingtons or chip foose wheels , but your money might not stretch far enuff to them , besides its not about how you stand by your car
