Dyno Results

Well, had the car dyno'd today. All was well, altho a bit lower than I expected - drivetrain loss of 27% if Toyota's claim of 141kw@fly is true (I'm suspecting not)

numbers were
103.3kw (138.5hp) @ 8100rpm (also @ 7000rpm, then dips slightly, then up again... :? )
AFR's around 10.8-11.4!!

The whole workshop came out to see what was going on - and these were V8 nuts! One of the older guys said to me "Put a decent metal intake on it, will help the peak power and sound like nothing on earth"

So, I have a base figure. A base run down the strip Octber and I'll be set to mod.

How come you're getting different AFRs for the runs. Is the wideband playing up?
An AFR of 11 seems a bit richer than what you'd normally get from an N/A car (so loosing power).
Looks like the sensor was put up into the tailpipe and getting readings after the cat, which looks like it's working properly.Maybe the wideband needs calibrating or the sensor replacing?
It's good that you're dynoing a stock car, I thought I was the only one who did things like that. It takes all the BS out of it once you mod it and get more readings.

it could also be the toyota tradition of over fueling maps, and too many safe guards for reliability sake,

look at the times of the runs and the AFRs - the second run was 1 min after the first and had the richest AFR due to the extra heat in both coolant and air temp. The last run had a cool down period and has leaner settings and more power.
Those AFR's are normal for one of these in stock form. CAI and headers with decat leans them out a wee bit, Power FC will fix the rest.

Magn1t - no, I like to know what actually does what. not one of the BS brigade. plus i'm in the same class as the honda boys when I drag, so I need to know how much I've got so I don't line up against the wrong cars and lose to a Honda!!
