Looks like it might be.
Judge Phillip Cooper deferred sentencing for 12 months and told Skelton if she did not reoffend within that time she would not be sentenced on the charges.

Hmmm, maybe she should pack a toothbrush for that next visit to the courts

cannot let her get away with this, she seems really defensive on starlet central, could see this falling to pieces the day she started advertising for the track day

according to the numbers given, 6 paid, 6x130=780
260 to taupo racetrack

780-260=520 in her pocket

bloody disgusting what she done, cannot let her ruin the integrity of legitimate organisers

So she's a 17yo pothead, a thief, been through court already and got deferred sentencing, and wants to babysit children. You guys who have been ripped off should throw everything you can at her.
The little scumbag should be clearing scrub.

Insolvancy Register may be something to watch. Bankruptcy is looking likely... If so, nothing for anyone unless she decides that she will pay creditors out of the goodness of her heart.

Ah the joys of the foolishness of youth.. or is that just foolishness.

If any of you are actually going to do something rather than talk about it you will need this.

Melanie Ann Skelton
DOB: 22/01/92

Rotorua
(all gained from the internet)
The things you can find on the internet if you know how to look...

Suggestion: All get together and do it as one group, pool your resources and gather your information. If you do that you will have better strength and more likely to have success.
Good luck people... :)

Oh and it might be an idea to contact the courts about this because the Judge said that if she reoffended she would get some nasty punishment (reference the news article about her)

OH you guys can do so much damage if you know how. However is it worth it over a few hundred dollars? Yes?... no?

Some people need to learn from the school of hard knocks.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

what i was going to say. the judge (stupidly) gave her a second chance because she was "remorseful" - she obviously hasn't learnt her lesson and will keep offending.

Judge gave her second chance due to lack of evidence of her being a scammer.
She could of been just a misguided teen...

Anyway, even though I am not losing party here, I suggest that every one who is involved gathers and makes her pay (preferably via prison sentence).
Obviously her parents did a bad job.

I wasn't suggesting anything like that.
Best way to deal with it via legal means, one thing is being beaten and treated like victim by community , another is to deal with lawyers, courts, fines, prisons and at same time being shamed by community, and have your face printed in local newspaper.

Hmm... Plot thickens eh?

Use false promises of being in a magazine to attract more people.
Said magazine was unaware of this....

Adds evidence to its being a planned rip off and not it just falling apart!

From memory she had already asked and I'd already said no. Well, good luck getting your money back guys, and to this Melanie girl; you should really pay the money back, or at the very least make contact with everyone concerned to explain what happened, it'll work out best for you in the long run.

She might not have intended on screwing everyone over, sometimes it all goes pearshaped. Well, maybe she did, but I'm just a positive sort of guy.
