ae101 c-52 blown diff...

Postby headshotnz » Tue Sep 01, 2009 7:33 pm

hey every one, blew the diff in my levin. i thought the 6spd lsd models weren't very strong, but i didnt think i would blow my gay little single spinner...

any way, new gearbox is probably easiest right?

is there any thing i need to know when looking for a c-52, i.e. electric speedo sender etc.

would a c-52 that was mated to a 16v? so assuming its out of a ae92 or equivelent work?

also while im at it i may aswell do a clutch ?

(sorry for the bad typing, i broke my hand last week and have had it operated on etc..)

thanks

have a look around. some c-52's mated to 16v's will work as long as there is a bulge on the bellhousing at the rear it will work on a 20v.

was up at pickapart last weekend and saw one mated to a 16v that you could use.

20v c52 is a lil better than the ae92 one, syncros dont get better till c56 though
open diff is one of the weak spots asides from syncros seen a couple shatter spider gears that then run though the gear set
