Installing BOV

Postby DXROLLA » Tue Sep 08, 2009 10:44 pm

Hey i have a bov lying around its just a cheapo and was wondering how to install it, the thing im confused about is that where it goes onto the factory hose it has these 4 screws that you screw in and than nuts you tighten up, but i thought that it would just fly off under pressure or leak as i cant see how it would seal? Or am i missing some part of the assembaly.

Its getting installed onto a 'cough' GTX 'cough' if that matters?

you are missing a piece of the bov. it screws into the bottom of it, is it a GFB valve?

Its suppose to mount to a perfect fitting pipe off your intake piping, it wont leak or pop off.

Is the one on the car mounted to a plastic pipe?

You should be able to use an adaptor, sounds like thats what tsoob is talking about.
