Ive got some koni coilovers I could be persuaded to part with for the right price.

One of the big advantages of 'coilovers' is the ability to easily change the spring rate.

I wouldn't go for TRD struts as they arent easily revalved/rebuilt.

I wouldn't go for munroe shocks as they're very soft and wear out quickly.

If you soften up the rear too much your car will have major understeer, if anything i'd be fitting a larger rear swaybar for track events.

I have been battling with understeer in this car for the last 5 years, finally installed a whiteline rear sway bar and have slight oversteer on the medium setting - yahoooooo :lol:

I've got a set of Bilsein adjustable coilovers in my EP71 and fully recommend them. Have really taken the punishment after years and years of street use plus drag and circuit use. Can't fault them.

i wouldnt bother with too much adjustable brendan. the harlet had adjustable shocks etc when i got it but i ended up throwing them away and just putting some good bilsteins in. Just a bit of height adjustment i guess is good. mine is set at max height in the front and thats where it stays lol. rwd different kettle of fish tho...

start simple and learn the changes as you go, otherwise its just too confusing and easy to get it completely wrong. try what the other guys suggest here, relatively standard but uprated inserts and play with the swaybar and you will be surprised.

OR, you could swing the engine around and make it drive the proper (rear) wheels!! :lol:

Not that much of a drama driving the fronts, i showed him today that you can make a front wheel drive car look like a rear wheel drive car and then drive the same as well (apart from under power) with plenty of sideways action :lol:

my ae92(road car) has k-sport adjustibles, at a guss i would say they would be to hard, and not to mention they r really low, evan on the max height adjustement. i hear lots of people poo pooing them, but i dont think there that bad! just a little hard. but mean on good roads!

Either sounds good to me, At least daybreaker will be slightly cheaper for us to do.

Problem is I have midrange torque aka a smallport redtop so cannot be part of team silvertop.

The trick is letting your talent build up over time and not leting the car talk you into drving faster than your talent allows. I'm sure that my car has a death wish, keeps wanting me to go faster everwhere

At this stage it's unlikely Daybreaker will run next year so start planning for Rally Wairarapa.
There's a contingent of newish Wellington area entrant entrants looking to pool resources to lower costs and enhance fun.
Why not join them?

Thanks for the info and ideas Bruce, and everyone else, Was investigating a couple of cars yesterday and the plan is this so far:

Bilstien P30 front inserts with KTB gas exel G in the rear with Dobi uprated standard height springs(which I already have)
