That's pretty much the point I'm trying to make...Yes D2 supply them with springs but they are far too harsh for *most* cars. With springs that heavy the shock is barely doing any work and all the force is just being transferred to the strut body...I think the first thing anyone should do when they get them is get a decent set of springs to replace the ones they ship with. As for being lucky...I'd probably have put it down to that if I hadn't owned 3 different cars all with the same coilovers and all with no trouble whatsoever...I guess I must just be one lucky person.

But when you spending $1250 on coilovers (How much do they sell XYZ and D2 for these days) and then have to shell out and extra $400 to get decent rate spring wouldnt have been better to jsut spend the extra and buy a decent quailty product in the first place?
As by then you have spend $1650 and surely with that kind of money you could definatly get somthing thats not totally at the bottom of the range of coil over pickings
End of the day you get what you pay for same as chinese turbos, cheap nasty waste gates, any knock off parts, you are not paying top dollar so don't expect the same results as a $$$$$$ product
