Post by Elmo »

I know Zylex used to sell them, but I havent got as far as contacting him yet.

Has anyone else had experiences with one? Im thinking of getting one for a car of mine. I want to know recomended brands and companies etc.

ok got to talk to him finally, and not much help,
the dealer didn't/wont give him much info about the gps tracker, or even where it is installed,
all he said was "call this number if your car gets stolen(hands him a card)"
sorry not much help,

Might want to drop Brad a PM as well, dunno if they have something, but he might have a fair idea who to talk to.

i personally use a Black hawk on my Celica, and its fantastic. It texts warnings for anything you want almost.. Battery low so you know to go start the car if its sat for a few weeks.. (like mine has haha) the website logs start and end points and the accuracy is brilliant.

for $1000 and on a pre pay system i was chuffed with it, sadly its now ditched and become a pay per month contract system this has me a little upset and it was not what i signed up for.. But it does come with a great set of extra features to make it more value for money so when car re jumps into life im sure ill have no problem signing it up to that.

I just installed a gps alarm. It's a chinese one and cost me a bit over $300 from ebay. It takes a sim card and you can txt it to get the location/status. It will txt you if the alarm goes off, or battery gets low etc. It has a backup battery built into it so even if the car battery is disconnected you can still get a location from it. You can also txt it and trigger an mobiliser.
