Drove for an hour and a half to Otorohonga last night to swap some GTX turbo parts for an amp and sub.Found out when i got home Amp didnt work. Took amp to car audio shop. Told that amp was completely poked. Was told by member who swapped it to me that they had tested it the night before.
What do you reckon my next plan of action should be? He reckons he didnt know it was dead, but the PCB inside is covered with rust. RAAAHH

Sounds like something the person who sold it would say............................
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Try find a resoution with the person you delt with. As swap back all the stuff you swapped to begin with - if thats what you want to solve the problem.

If the person wont co-operate then instead of going to cops or small claims court (or taking out his knee-caps) then who he is should be made aware to other honest toyspeed users. Not for abuse to be given, just to let everyone know that this person is dodgy.

In thinking about it, doesnt it say before you sign on to Toyspeed that you are to act honestly, with dishonest and fraudulent acts resulting in being banned form the toyspeed forums?

I spoke to him today, now he reckons he didnt really test it, it just "seemed" like it was working. Im just pissed that I used a fair bit of my weekly fuel allowance to get there, and he wont be reimbursing me for the cost of fuel as far as i know

its not his fault your mum gives you a "fuel allowance"

.... but seriously if its that far away why dont you just courier it back, it will probably be cheaper, if its miles away

mate, I would appreciate it if you stopped with the snide comments, my mother doesnt give me a fuel allowance, I budget. Why the hell should the courier cost be my responsibility. Geez are all the members on this page this helpful or is it just a select few who would rather belittle someone rather than give valid advice?
