I've also seen footage on youtube of it testing with the new SLS Gullwing Mercedes Spec V GTR and the new Mclaren and the LF-A just looks a hell of lot quicker than the Spec V GTR and the Mercedes.

The sound-track of the car is a one off closest thing to F-1 there is I've been beating the LF-A drum for ages I think the 6 years they have been developing this car is well worth the wait and every moto journo that has had a drive has only but praised it.

For some reason I just can't get excited by it.... Sure its fast, sure its awesome and Toyota... but I got more of a chance of sleeping with Jessica Alba than ever driving one :lol:

IMO, the LF-A has supercar performance (Enzo, Etc.) at half the price, has a full interior - stereo system, air conditioning, everything you could ever want! And, is made by Toyota/Lexus, so you know damn well it's gonna run for almost forever and will be cheap as chips to get fixed (should anything go wrong with it). Not to mention you could have it serviced at your local dealer.

Now tell me that isn't better than buying a Ferrari or something, which is likely to break down often, not have as many luxuries, and you're likely gonna have to take it to one of the major centres (Auckland or Wellington) to get it serviced.

I know which I'd pick

Those are all great reasons why the Toyota would be better than a Ferrari, but I would still take a Ferrari over the Toyota anyday, just me

I hear you but for me this is a landmark car and its the first time Toyota have really made a decent assault on the so called Supercar market.It will be hard for people to take this over a Ferrari or Porsche or such others but I'm thinking this Lexus will leave a definite mark on the sportscar community for sure.Every motor journo that I've seen that has driven this car have raved about its going to be on the money there but in the end 500 K is 500 K.

Well, it depends..... When you buy a new lexus, routine service and wear is covered for the first what ever it is (can't remember) except tyres.
Which is just as well as there is rather a lot of money spent in that time!

^ Yeah, I guess. I'm not too sure if I was right about the 'cheap as chips' analogy of fixing it (I think I was meaning compared to the likes of a Ferrari), but I'm pretty sure I'm on the mark with the reliability of them.

I actually spoke to the Lexus dealers at your old work and they reckon its free WOFs and servicing for the 1st 3 years or 140,000 ks and also a free set of tyres for all Lexus cars sold.In this case 305/30/20 on the back 265/30/20 on the front.

I am sick and tired of people bashing the Lexus brand. It's not really a Toyota. You cannot compare a Corolla to an LS600hL. The quality and the manufacturing process is far more complex and time consuming on a Lexus.

It's like saying Lambo is the same as VW Golf, but is it? Just because it's owned by VW, doesn't make it the same.

Toyota is losing money on selling this car, and I think if anyone looks at the specs, it's up there with the Gallardos and what have you. I would argue it's probably better in quality and refinement as well. They only making 500 cars, which makes it far more exclusive than the R35 GT-R which they making like 2500 per year for US market alone.

It's 220kg lighter than R35 GT-R and has 75ps more. I don't think this car is designed to compete with the GT-R, but rather more exotic cars like GT2 and F430/F450 and Gallardo. GT-R will always be better value for money when it comes to performance. But if you want something more rare and exclusive, LF-A is the one to go for.

AWD is marketing talk, are you falling for that?
GTR is full time 4WD (unlike say various SUV where it is RWD most of the time).
