that would let me borrow it? 1.5mm pitch
compensation in the form of beers will be provided

can't justify the cost of a whole kit that i'll only use once

Actually I think I do

12.8mm drill bit, the hand turning thingee for cutting thread for a 14mm bolt, but don't know what thread pitch tho :(
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

i assume this is for spark-plugs? if so powerbuilt sell a kit just for that, it comes with a tap and several different length inserts for different types of thread lengths. U can get them at repco/appco, i dont think they're very expensive

Sure thing hold on

Edit: Guess what, looks like you're in luck. I have:

12.8mm drill bit
14mm x 1.5 Tap
Hand tapping tool
2 x Recoil "Timesert", inside: 12mm x 1.25, outside: 14mm x 1.5

Leftovers when I was doing a recoil on my 3S-GTE head.

cheers for that

hmm stupid question, but wouldn't i be wanting the inside to be 14mm x 1.5mm as thats the size of the bolt?

Well, you can always thread it without the helicoil, just back to bare metal.
IE: You have a 12mm bolt, you stripped the thread, so what you do is just drill the hole out to clean out the threads, and retap it with a 14mm x 1.5 tap, and just put a 14mm x 1.5 bolt back in.

In my case, my aluminium cylinder head's exhaust manifold stud was stripped, it was a 12mm x 1.25 stud that was holding it all together.

So I drilled out the existing 12mm hole, retap it to 14 x 1.5, put a helicoil in, the helicoil's outer sleeve thread is 14 x 1.5m the inner sleeve's thread is 12 x 1.25. Reuse existing 12 x 1.25 stud and put everything back together.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.
