Where to drill rotors

Hey guys

I got some blank rotors for my stud conversion but I have not a clue where to get them drilled. Some of my friends said engineering place could do it but they couldn't name one. So if anyone has got their rotors drilled in Auckland, preferably in the East auckland side, please let me know where. and how much they usually cost for a pair of rotors.

have you tried 0800brakes? they are real good guys

Yeah any good machine shop. Not too sure out East, but cold try Circleline Engineering in Otahuhu as they've done plenty of similar work.

cheers. Will check circleline and Automotive Brake & Clutch out. 0800brakes don't do the drilling unfortunately.

I don't recommend drilling them from blanks.

If you must, get slotted ones, but then even the slotted ones I got from 0800 brakes warped after I did a 200kph+ run, disappointed.

I'm assuming he means drilling so that it can slide onto the studs... I think you guys are thinking of drilling for de-gassing.

Brakes warping is usually from incorrcet warm down procedure.

And I would say he is getting the wheel stud holes drilled,
not holes in the brake surface as that would be a recipe for disaster.
