Sure it's an important issue, but it's not necessary to loose all common sense and ability to evaluate the information that is presented to you in a rational manner. From what I can see neither side of this debate is prepared to evaluate evidence that is contrary to their opinion. Without informed and rational debate the problem, if it exists, will not be solved.

From what I can see we do have global warming, but whether or not that is entirely man made is debateable, but you'd have to be very ignorant to believe that man has nothing at all to do with it. The other issue, which I believe needs to be separated from the argument over what is causing it, is whether man can do anything to reverse the trend to any significant degree.

the scientist changed the data to make it look like it was warming its fake mate, thats all there is to it. the world has been cooling for 9-10 years. and the fact is carbon in the atmosphere comes some 5000 years after a warming period. warming=carbon not carbon=warming. and all human activity produces the tinyest amount of carbon compared to the sea, volcanos and dead plants. man made global warming is a fraud.

I'll have to call BS on that one, climatic records show it's warming, as does anecdotal evidence. In fact I can see it's warming because of what is happening to my Kiwifruit crop, it's getting progressively earlier to mature each season. This year it is 2 weeks ahead of where it was five years ago, and I know it's got nothing to do with the way I'm managing it

Nope not a fair point at all. I'm giving anecdotal evidence about something I've observed, whereas you are simply regurgitating some drivel that has been spoon feed to you that you don't even have the common sense validate before posting.

FYI it's not only my Kiwifruit crop, it's the crops in all of the Kiwifruit growing regions in New Zealand and, IIRC at least this year also in Europe and Japan, but I'll have to verifiy that as I'm going on memory.

Sorry my bad, they had the earliest snow fall on record and yes it did snow last year as well. Houston has only seen snow 33 times since 1895 and four times in the last 15 years including yesterday’s snow. how is that common?

So the average is approx once every three years for the last 100 years or so, and only once every four years in the last 15, how is that global cooling???

No just a normal event for Houtson, and being the expert you are on climate that you are, you already know snowing has more to do with the interaction of cold and warm air masses that any global warming or cooling.

This, however does prove one thing... That by taking an isolated incident, that really has little or anything to do with climate change, then blowing it out of all propotion to do with its significance is one reason why the climate change evangelista, at both extremes of the argument, have little or no credibility.

Anyway, I have to say that anyone that hasn't noticed the way things have changed just over the last 10 years isn't paying attention.

It is debateable that man has caused this trend but I am 100% sure that anything that taxes us directly is a scam.

Going back through the history books shows that for whatever reasons weather is pretty $&#$% random overall.

I've not read the climategate thing, I'm making an uninformed "Its BS" call.
So these "hackers" who got the emails and what not, uncovering the fraud of man made global warming. They got everything? They didn't just get some, and then piece them together in a way that makes sensationalist news?
Also the line "the climate research unit", soooooo, these guys are the only people researching climate change? No one thought to get a second opinion?
And are we to believe that what seems to be a LARGE group of people managed come to a consensus that they would all lie and then manage to keep it a secret?
In my experience with scientists that I know, they do research, they publish findings.....then SOMEONE ELSE(usually the media) misinterprets them. Why would they manipulate their own results, when it would undermine their credibility as a scientist?

Oh yeh, and watch out for those mutant neutrinos from the sun.....will heat the pie till its thermo nuclear, blow on it or suffer!
