plug on PS rack ae101

Postby soopachargen » Thu Dec 17, 2009 10:55 pm

when i was pulling my motor out i forgot to disconnect the wires going from my engine loom to the steering rack and they pulled out of the plug, does it matter which way round they go back in or can i just make it up as i go along?

When in doubt, down and out.

does the PS rack also have two air hoses going to the throttles?
if not, then i believe this could be the electronic pressure sensor. but i dont know whether its just a switch to turn on an idle up (any way round for the wiring) or something more complicated.

it's got the two vacuum lines as well, i figured it may be some sort of pressure switch for when the PS is under the most load to raise the idle

maybe, might be ecu related?
but thats what the vacuum hoses do.. the pressure valve on the rack opens when there's higher oil pressure in the rack.. which bypasses air around the throttles and raises the idle.
