Still not 100% on what to do for a removable rollcage member, does anyone know if the pic in the link is legal in nz....

Im sure there is info on bolt in sections in the motorsport manual.

Everything else in that link is pretty dreadful and has a thoroughly non legal design. To the point where I threw up in my mouth slightly.

I would suggest that whatever that link tells you, do something else.

To me, it looked like a collection of hinges rather than a stiff frame. Triangles FTW!

I particularly enjoyed the backstays with multiple bends in them, that ran basically to the back tail lights. Go go 1974 rollcage design!

Actually Leon, whilst some cages from the 70's followed the rear roof line, the design in the article is not at all typical of 1970's roll cages, most of which were remarkably similar to what we build today.

Yes, but it was too long a story to go down that route, and cover the sub plot of how the bars outside the axle line were popular but are now not etc. It's a forum not a novel 8)
