a question for mr2 nuts out there

Postby slighty_looney » Fri Jan 01, 2010 12:53 pm

Hey guys

As some of you might know i own a series 4 rx7, the power steering unit in it was a big fat bitch so i ripped it out (and it looked dam untidy) now iv been trying to find a smaller unit to replace it with then i got told that mr2's have electric powersteering pumps

Is this true? can i run that pump on my rx7 rack? any other stuff i should know? i love the idea of a non mechanical pump so a electric one would be awsome, has anyone got 1 or any pictures or dimentions ?

Hope someone can help,

thanks!

Have a chat to Bazda. I believe he ran the SW20 electric pump in his AE92.

That goddamn relay..... you might as well replace it before you put it in, it ALWAYS dies, no exception.

i have tried running an MR2 electric PS pump in a S4, didn't work. the issue the S4 has it it has 2 high pressure feeds to the rack, not 1, we tried feeding both of them the same pressure and it was like no power steering at all. GOOD LUCK on getting it going.........
