Most likely, yes. If its a T-series diff(I think it is). Count and measure the distance across the bolt holes, it should be the same. Unless its the LATE model AE86 T-Series diff with the bigger splines.

Yes, but have you ever rebuilt a diff head? You will need a dial gauge, to set the backlash, and a good torque wrench. You cannot just whip it out and swap them. It has to be done correctly or it will be noisy and destroy its self quickly. Or you can pay a gearbox guy at least $300++++ to swap the lsd unit

also heard this te71 is 4.1 ratio, is this right.
The ratio is stamped on the side of the crown/ring gear. Or it should take 4.1 turns of the pinion to rotate the ring gear once....
